Muslin Sleeping Bags
It is very important in the warm, summer months that your baby doesn’t overheat at bedtime and baby sleeping bags are the perfect solution. They ensure your child remains at a constant temperature, eliminating the need for any other top covers, blankets or duvets. Muslin Sleeping Bags are ideal for summer due to their exceptional lightness and breathability. Muslin cotton is naturally breathable, allowing moisture to flow out of the sleeping bag as the air circulates, which helps to keep baby cool and comfortable. Muslin Sleeping Bags are completely unpadded and suitable for use in hot summer months and in room temperatures above 24 degrees. Perfect for summer holidays!
A room thermometer is a must-have for any parent, providing reassurance that your baby is sleeping at a constant temperature. Babies that get too hot may be more at risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), also known as cot death. The recommended room temperature for a baby is 16-20 degrees C [61-68 degrees F.]
A pram shade ensures your little one is protected from the suns rays. They encourage air flow, stopping the pram from getting too hot and also act as a blackout blind, which will help your little one sleep while you’re out and about.
Babies under 6 months old should be kept out of the sun as their skin is too sensitive and susceptible to serious burns. So, if you can, try and stay in the shade when the sun is at its strongest. If you do need to be outside, then be sure to apply sunscreen. If you haven’t used sun cream on your baby before, put a patch on their skin at least 48 hours before exposure, to check for irritation. You will probably find on most baby sunscreens that they say ‘suitable from 6 months.’
Car Sun Shade
Car sun shades help babies and children stay cool and comfortable whilst traveling, protecting them from harmful UVA and UVB rays. They can easily be attached to the car window and repositioned if needed.
Teethers are great for the summer months. Lots of brands allow you to put them in the fridge, which will help soothe your baby in warmer temperatures, providing cooling relief.
A baby travel cot will ensure your little one remains comfortable while traveling. They are lightweight, easy to transport and many designs feature a mesh surround, ensuring good ventilation and all-round visibility so you can see your child at all times.
