Which TOG Baby Sleeping Bag Do You Need?


We offer baby sleeping bags in four TOG ratings (warmth levels) to suit every season and room temperature:

➤ 0.5 TOG – Lightweight with no padding for room temperatures above 24°C



➤ 1.0 TOG – Lightly padded, ideal for rooms between 18–24°C, with optional sleeves

➤ 2.5 TOG – All-season option (15–21°C), with optional sleeves

➤ 3.5 TOG – Thick padding, extra cosy for rooms below 18°C

Choosing the Right Baby Sleeping Bag Size


Slumbersac sleeping bags are available in six sizes, from newborn up to 10 years old. To find the best fit:

➤ Your baby’s feet should reach about ¾ of the way down the sleeping bag, leaving room at the bottom for kicking freely.

➤ The neckline should be snug, with just enough space for one finger between the neck and the fabric.

➤ Armholes should fit securely to prevent slipping while allowing natural movement.

What should my baby wear under the sleeping bag?



This depends on the TOG and room temperature. In warmer weather, a short-sleeved bodysuit may be enough. In cooler conditions, try a long-sleeved sleepsuit or pyjamas. Use our TOG Chart for guidance.
